Recent versions of Windows (2000+) by defualt hide the file extension of known file types. This is very useful because it stops a file's extension being changed to an unusable type when renaming. However, there are times when knowing the extension of a file is very useful.
This little application, written in pure ANSI C, displays a message box with the file's extension.
The script can be ran in two ways. Firstly, a file can be dragged and dropped over the executable file. Secondly, the registry can be used to make an item appear on explorer's context menu that, when a file is right-clicked on, can display the extension. An example registry file is included.
